| subject: | Static class data members in both DLL & EXE? |
Hello Keith, On Dec 27 17:37 94, Keith Bennett of 1:109/347 wrote: KB> Source code used to create both the .DLL and the .EXE use a common class KB> named LOGBASE located in LOGBASE.HPP and LOGBASE.CPP. I included the object file and it linked fine. WHERE is the class logbase implemented? do you have the class in the dll and you want to export the class? then you must have the static data member also in the DLL (of course). if you duplicate the CLASS code (in the EXE and in the DLL) then you implement 2 different classes (with the same name, but 2 classes. there is a different name scope for the EXE and the DLL). then of course you have 2 different static data members.
