No problem.  A local acquaintance provided the black discs for me.  I used
them to rebuild a G4 PPC for someone. Worked well.  I also have a set of
black 10.3 on 3 cd-roms.  The USB adapter is apparently supported in 10.3
as well.

I know.  It's a crazy aftermarket for OS X.   I wish I could get half as
much for my old OS/2 Warp Connect set.
