Announcing the blind-issues list!
If you are in the mood for a spirited
debate, Blind-Issues can accommodate.
Many things affect the lives of the blind and visually
impaired in everyday life. With this in mind, we thought a
list which dealt with the major issues of the day would be
a welcome addition to the lists specifically designed for
the blind and visually impaired.
Topics which bog down and consume other E-mail lists are
welcome
on Blind-Issues. such as:
Blind Organizations and their goals, policies, conventions and
treatment of social issues
transportation issues specific to the blind
discrimination shown by society toward the blind
The general anger and frustration which may be a part of
every day life
and whatever else makes you a little hot under the collar.
The rules on Blind-Issues are simple:
1. There will never be posting of private messages permitted
under any condition.
2. No public flaming or chastising of others, take it to
private
E-mail if you feel the need.
3. No profanity. It is possible to discuss and present your
points without the use of such vocabulary. You will find other
people will listen to your viewpoint more if you refrain from
this.
4. No cross-posting to other lists unless you receive prior
permission of the list owners.
The enrollment for blind-Issues is open. You may subscribe and
unsubscribe as often as you like. Remember you can also set to
nomail if you are going to be gone temporarily.
We want Blind-Issues to be a list for you to vent your
frustrations or
a place to find a sympathetic ear. If you are in the mood
for a
spirited debate, blind-issues can accommodate!
Join us on blind-issues today and discover what is
happening in the social and political world of the blind
and visually impaired.
