JK> That's neat. Both times I had to switch after about 6 months because
That's about the time he started trying out foods... although he didn't
actually make the changeover until he was a few months older...
JK> I was in the hospital. Once with appendicitis (that hit on the second
JK> night run of a play I was in for our village's Bicentennial
JK> Celebration)
Such timing... ;)
JK> and the 2nd time with MS crap ... not so serious then, but
JK> the local docs were unsure of "what" I had with constant vomiting and
JK> vertigo... it was of course the MS. And since then of course I have
JK> constant supply of antivert around hehe.
Sometimes there are good solutions available... ;) And of course one
learns... (G)

JK> I remember one "cereal" disaster that was so funny... I'm sure
JK> whichever kid it was didn't consider it a disaster though haha. I
JK> think it was my son ... Whichever kid it was just plopped the whole
JK> bowl of cereal upside down on his/her head Lol I do remember laughing
JK> like crazy that day. :)
Better to laugh than to cry... or to throw a fit... :) Rob just spit it
out and made such a disgusted face... I had to agree with him that it
didn't taste like food... ;)

JK> Yes, it's true! He was used to a variety and forced the issue haha
I suppose you might have forestalled him by just having a selection
always available... but that might have backfired, too... :)
>> In early September we're going to Ron's Aunt's house up in the
>> catskills for her 100th birthday.. amazing to me :) :)
> That's an important milestone.. Still physically and mentally active,
> is she...?
JK> Yes, she is. She was an Army nurse in WWII.. her niece did the
JK> neatest thing with the invitation. It's a postcard (larger than
JK> standard size) with a picture of Ron's aunt in her U.S. Army Nursing
JK> Uniform from way back.. beautiful picture.
That is neat... :) She sounds like a really neat lady, too. :) I'm
sure the whole family will enjoy her birthday party... :)
>> I think I'll bring a fancy cake.. not sure which kind yet.. I've got
>> time to play with some ideas though.
> Just have to find something that travels well... or that can be

JK> I'll probably do it all here and then transport it. I have a "cake
JK> taker" kind of tuperware thing that protects them quite well. :)
Sounds like that should work fine.. :)
JK> Right now I'm thinking about making a HummingBird Cake:
JK> It's great cake.. It's a large cake too so it's good for a crowd. :)
JK> I can make it gluten free if I care to, though I think I'll skip that
JK> for this event.
That does sound good.. :) Will there be people there that might
appreciate having something be gluten free, though...?
