Well, ok, so I don't get out much...But, is there a simple way (pref via interupt) to persuade a dos program to give up timeslices to OS/2? A short bit of (ok, ok, quit laughing!) BASIC: Timer on on timer gosub (doit) while inkey$= wend end :doit etc...etc... Thought that the inkey loop would allow OS/2 to reduce time due to keyboard polling, but forgot that the while/wend is processing...sigh Basically, this should set up an "idle" loop until an event is triggered by the timer, thereby reducing overhead time to the bare amount needed. Except, of course, I cant seem to find reference anywhere on giving up a timeslice under DOS to OS/2. Any suggestions/answers?
