I found my mistake.  There is *no* underlined "D" command in the
main reading window.   That is, one can still use Alt-F, D to send a
completely unedited reply!   However, there *is* a D option in the
"Edit" window.

That means I would have to star memorizing all these shortcuts!

Somehow I find that my finger works faster to navigate over to the GUI
"Reply" button on the laptop's pad.
