Telepathy would be a huge advantage, but genes can only code for traits that
have a physical basis. Most people who believe in telepathy claim that it
uses some as yet undiscovered physical principle.
Genes produce proteins, which can do many things (eg act as structural
units, act as membrane channels, act as enzymes or as hormones, bind to DNA,
transport oxygen, even glow green). However no one has yet found a protein
that can communicate over large distances. This doesn't mean that none will
ever be found, but can you suggest a mechanism by which a protein could do
such a thing?
