     Around here (Phoenix, Arizona), Peruvian Pasos are much cheaper than 
Tennessee Walkers.  I have been around a LOT of Pasos and very few TWH's, but 
I have never seen a Paso that was anything but steady, bomb-proof, and very 
very smooth.  May be something worth looking in to for your husband.
