How did you or Phil get on to SMS and in your case rediculous =
conclusions based on an article discussing corporate use of IM? Did you =
even read the article?

The thing is, over here in the US, IM is not so hot. Nokia's not the
be all and end all. Kids around here couldn't care less about whether
or not they have SMS and the like, they want the cellphone to ring
their friends and waste minutes. (Which makes companies very happy.)
Microsoft, being an American company, seems to adopt primarily
American views - and the (albeit STUPID) American view is that SMS has
no real use, is not worth it, and the one true Instant Messaging
platform is their home computer. (This, is why companies are becoming
very concerned about IM systems like ICQ, AIM, etc.)=20

So.. no. We don't get it across the pond. Personally, I don't like
SMS, don't want it. But I also am very slow at texting, having done it
before, because I'm a Grammar Nazi and I have carpal tunnel. :P
