JA> I have not heard that Borland will be killing OWL! Why would JA> they do that? Aside from OWL being specifically designed for Windows (originally), the reason that OWL for PM came into being was a result of the whole OWL AppWare deal that they were developing in conjunction with Novell. Novell, at the time when the OWL for PM was about 90% complete, pulled out of the deal and it died. Grumblings have been heard on the Borland forums of CompuServe that OWL for OS/2 was finished if it did not sell big. This, incidentally, was over the Holidays and ironically Borland people were not on-line at the time (they had that period off) to respond. Another famous rumour also heard was that Microsoft may buy them...anybody know the number for Watcom?... but, I actually think that was more just silly noise...as no one seems to have heard too much about that.
