JK> That's good.. It's horrible to think about pets suffering from food.
:(
Especially since they can't tell you that it tastes bad... or bothers
them... except by body language, which can easily be misinterpreted...
>> geez... if I had the energy I'd make all of our pets their pet
>> food.. :)
> I threatened to do that for baby food, but then chickened out...
JK> I did make all of my son's and daughter's baby food way back.. but I
JK> was a heck of a lot younger then Lol... and my daughter's allergies
JK> pretty much made that necessary. What can you do... It was easy though
JK> afterall I found.... when she was a baby, I froze the puree in ice cube
JK> trays.
Fortunately I didn't have to deal with allergies... and I also didn't
buy baby food... as it turned out, by the time he was ready to eat other
foods besides breastmilk, he was ready for finger foods... One of his
first foods was artichoke... he gummed the soft part off the leaf... ;)
We did try baby cereal, once, but that was such a disaster I didn't
bother again... when he got older he could have regular hot cereals with
us... :)

> No accounting for taste... (G)
JK> haha.. yes.. or the picky taste of a cat at least. He would go
JK> several days on one, then switch to the other. Repeatedly :)
As an alley cat, he had become used to a constant smorgasbord, I guess,
and boring wasn't in his repertoire any more... ;) Can't really blame
him, ya know... ;)
JK> In early September we're going to Ron's Aunt's house up in the
JK> catskills for her 100th birthday.. amazing to me :) :)
That's an important milestone.. Still physically and mentally active,
is she...?
JK> I think I'll bring a fancy cake.. not sure which kind yet.. I've got
JK> time to play with some ideas though.
Just have to find something that travels well... or that can be
assembled when you get there... :)
