subject: Running LORD apps under Win XP

Hello Donald.

ml> Switch to 4NT for a command processor. Works wonders. Worth every penny.

DT> Marc, thanks for the suggestion. I'll consider checking into 4NT
DT> sometime, but I was mainly looking for way to get the dos apps to
DT> run in a normal-size dos window under XP. But Jimmie Rose has told
DT> me that basically one can't get that result with some programs. So
DT> I'm fiddling around with the Screen Size and Buffer Size settings
DT> in Properties-Screen for each program.

Open a DOS window. Right click on the bar and select Fonts. Select Lucida
Console and set the size at like 18 point. Your DOS window should be close
to what one would consider a "normal" size. Lucida Console is a
default font IIRC, so you shouldn't have to install it. QEdit should look
quite good like this - - - it does on mine.

Best regards,
Marc
