In my three solid years of investing (a novice to start!) I have found the
brokers to be mighty close to useless! Their guesses seem to be like pin the
tail on the donkey. With some common sense, some advice from knowlegable
friends and a bit of easy reading I have done OK - no thanks to brokers
whose advice has very often been wrong wrong  (Diamond Ventures as a good
float 1994!)
