August,

I don't use ThunderBird for reading Win95, I use SLMR, but after Marking
the text I want to save that has a URL in it, I use the same procedure
that You use to start IE.

I press WinKey n to start up Notepad and then open the file I keep URLs
in so I can Paste the Marked text into the file I have opened in
Notepad.
