Greetings, All;
 
At 4:30 this afternoon, after much ado, Shadow presented the world with
a kitten.  Then, at about 6:45 she had a second one... That's all.
They are about the size of full-grown mice, and just as cute as they can
be.
 
Shadow is being a wonderful mommy, and protective as all get out.  It
was a major job to keep her in the box while she was in labor, and she
was, of course, scared to death, and she was looking at me like _I_ was
getting blamed for her pain... but when that first kitten came out, she
settled right down do her motherly duties.  So far, she has only been out
of the box once since then, (8 hours ago), and that was just for a couple
of minutes to head for the litter box.
 
I had half a pizza for supper, and I took several pea-sized pieces of ham
from it, put them on a small saucer and offered them to her after she was
done cleaning up the first baby.  She snarfed it up like she hadn't eaten
in a week!
