Ahem !!!

While doing my apprenticeship, I would always skip tech every second
week and take at least one day a week off. Not because I thought it
was "my right" or nufin. I was just a 15 year old dick-head that
didn't know what he really wanted to do with his life. Well, that's
not really right, I knew that I wanted to do electronics, I just
didn't ever get out of "school mode". Fortunately my service manager
and the MD were more determined to break me than I was to break
myself and they persevered with me.

They won. One day (half way though my third year) I woke up and
realised what an absolute moron I had been. I haven't had one day
off sick since then. Seriously, in over 10 years, I haven't had one
day as a "sickie", I may have had a few where I have genuinely been
dying, but you could count them on your fingers.
