| subject: | New Pascal Compiler |
Hi John, You wrote to Jonathan de Boyne Pollard: JH>My Pascal vendor has been Borland for several years now. But Borland is not JH>interested in developing Pascal for OS/2. Even if they became interested, JH>chances are the Pascal dialect would be non-standard. This is the primary JH>reason I am searching for an "Extended Pascal" compiler for OS/2 that JH>utilizes the System Object Model (SOM) to implement its Objects. I've just got the January edition of one of the UK more technical computer magazines and one of the main development software distributors advertisments mentions: Warp into OS/2 with Pascal Prospero have released their first 32-bit Intel compiler with OS/2 as the first target. Their Extended Pascal is ideal if you want a securely typed compiler language. For a limited period we are virtually giving it away at ONLY 110 pounds. Cabot have ported their 32-bit power system to OS/2 as well so you can choose between UCSD and Extended Pascal. The price quoted for the Cabot "Power System + Pascal (32-bit)" is 270 pounds. The distributor is "Grey Matter" and they have a box in their advert headed "OS/2 WARP"... :-) At Last.... :-). I'll chase up details after the holidays are over. Grey Matter are on: Voice +44 1364 654100 FAX +44 1364 654200 George * SLMR 2.1a * Wishing you a Peaceful and Prosperous New Year --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: DoNoR/2,Woking UK (44-1483-725167) (2:440/4) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 515 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 440/4 141/209 270/101 396/1 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 808 809 934 |
