Yes it's possible. Using OS/2 Boot Manager, you can put OS/2 on
any partition without letting a single OS/2 file on your DOS C:
drive. However, the installation of Boot Manager implies repar-
titionning of your first hard disk, so backup all your data or
use a non-destructive partition manager such as Partition Magic.
After installing Boot Manager, your disks will look like that :
Disk 1 (200 MB) : Boot Manager (1 MB hidden partition)
                  C: (199 MB primary partition) for DOS/Windows
Disk 2 (200 MB) : D: (200 MB primary or extended) for OS/2

What version of OS/2 are you trying to install ? The modem and the
floppies shouldn't cause any problem. What is your sound card exa-
ct brand and model ? Is your CD-ROM using a proprietary connection
with it or is it an IDE/ATAPI compliant drive ?
OS/2 will not install if it can't properly detect a CD-ROM drive.
On the install diskettes there are only a few CD-ROM drivers that
should cover nearly all ATAPI and the most popular proprietary CD
drives. Plus, OS/2 versions prior to Warp Connect didn't have full
ATAPI drive support...
