It sounds like *you* are doing the right thing. I wish we had more kids like 
you in the classrooms.
Unfortunately, tho, too many kids these days expect things to be handed to 
them on silver platters - including passing grades. Some districts have even 
passed rules that if a student doesn't want to learn something, s/he may be 
excused from class. What's education coming to?????
