That's a great suggestion! Sandra Besina (sp?) from the "Sew Perfect" show
had a cool gadget...a special foot that essentially does the same thing for
making perfect edging, which would work for piecing.
I'll have to investigate and see if it is something I can get for my machine!
I've been going really well on the Crazy Quilt, I finshed embellishing an
entire block today! I had to take a break from it, though. For more than a
year the fabrics sat and every time I'd pull them out to work on it I'd get
really emotional.
It's gotten better, but it still hits me every now and then when I'm
stitching on one of my grandfather's old ties, or some of the other special
fabrics I'm using.
It is doing what I wanted when I started, though....which was to not only
create a memory tribute to my grandfather, but to have it aid me in the
grieving process. But it is still hard :-(
Thanks so much for the tip, and I'll let you know if I end up trying it!
