I'm not sure that our CRTC is heavily into the 'morals' angle.....they
*will* investigate viewer/listener complaints about programming, but
don't seem to do too much. When the first season of The Sopranos ran
on *broadcast* TV up here, it ran with all of the requisite disclaimers
about content (it ran unedited). There were a handful of
complaints and I think the CRTC's comment was that there might have been
one or two occasions where the disclaimer didn't run (coming out of
commercial break) and should have done...and that was it.

We have to deal with 'must carry' and 'signal substitution' rules. We get
stuck with every Canadian channel on 'basic' service and most of our
networks run their US-sourced programming at the same time as the US
networks.....so we get the Canadian feed on both channels. PITA!!
