Things appear to working okay now. I found (still) a newer version of
ICQ, and it's working with no problems. So it appears to have been a problem
in the prior version. Why it worked before I dunno. :)
As for Netscape, right now I'm using the June install with the November
executable. I wasn't too pleased with the full November install, so I tried
overwriting it with my backup of the June install. It all worked except
NETSCAPE.EXE. Something, and I don't know what, grabs ahold of it
mmediately
upon bootup and I actually have to boot to another partition before I can
overwrite it.
