   I ran in to the same problem about 3 months ago.  I must have spent about 
2 hours pulling my hair out trying to track down that bug.  Figured it out 
when I loaded the same record structure in Delphi 1.0 and it worked.  That's 
when I knew I had an allignment problem.  :)
