CJ> These days they're a *lot* thinner, but they're coming with a

CJ> the new format. Has anyone else here?

RJT> I saw one on the newsstand last night, but I wasn't tempted to buy a
 RJT> copy.

I haven't bought or really looked at one in a while, myself.

CJ> OK, this could make for a good thread for everyone to
CJ> participate in--what computer mags (electronic or paper) do you
CJ> read and/or think are good, and why?

RJT> Here's a slight side-trip: You talk up there about guys who were
RJT> having fun while doing this. I happened across a book at a real good
RJT> price recently, "Fire In The Valley", talking about a
lot of what
RJT> went on early in this stuff, before it was an "industry", by a
RJT> couple of guys who were there at the time. Sure looks to be a good
RJT> read, I just started it...

There was a great 4-hour or so documentary that ran on the local
PBS station about two years ago. Among other things, it was honest
enough when covering M$ to point out the fact that DOS 1.0 still had
a line in it that read "Copyright Seattle Computing," let Steve Ballamer
exhibit his creepy side in the interview, etc. I'm blanking on the
name, who produced, etc. Anyone?
