Hello, Tom. Wednesday July 20 2011 at 07:45, you wrote to HOLGER GRANHOLM: TW> A very quick check showed Canon, HP, Brother, Lexmark, Xerox, TW> Samsung, and Oki Data(One name to bring back memories for the old TW> timers) selling monochrome laser Printers. I have a working Okidata Microline 134 Turbo 9-pin dot matrix printer here. Still works fine even though it's pretty beat up. TW> And before someone mentions Dell they are just another printer TW> relabeled for them.. As may be Lexmark since IBM sold the name. Lexmark was a division of IBM that made printers. IBM spun off Lexmark into its own physically seperate company. Lexmark does relabel some of its printer models to be sold under the Dell brand name. Lexmark is also widely known as "greedy bastards" in the aftermarket printer technology field. Lexmark has sued a company called Static Control, out of Sanford, NC, that makes equipment to allow people to "re-manufacture" their own printer cartridges. Lexmark tried to sue this company out of existance but thankfully the courts found in favor of Static Control saying that SC was not violating any of Lexmark's patents. I do not recommend Lexmark printers since many of their models have poor print quality and the company also puts "sludge" in their ink cartridges, rendering the ink cartridges useless and unable to be properly refilled after their initial use (note I said "properly"; they can be refilled but their useful life is greatly shortened after the initial use). Canon, in my experience, makes the easiest cartridges to refill. I am talking about inkjet printers and cartridges, not laser printers. :) Later, Sean ...
