Though VB pre-dates VC++ by quite a while.... if I look hard enough, I may be able to
find an unopened package of VB for DOS, dating to around 1989 or 1990,
released the same time as VB 1.0 for Windows - which shipped on a single
720 kb floppy diskette.

I quite liked working with VB 1 for Windows... and used it for several
years to teach beginning programming to kids.
