MM> The "glue" holding the airplane together?
Glue is sometimes used, especially in later models, to keep parts of an
airplane together. Maybe it was also used in repairing that plane. This
is something I'd like to know more about.

 | Abstract: Repair stations rely on easy-to-handle, rapid cure

 | materials for fast turnaround on damaged aircraft composite parts.

 | American Composites, an FAA repair station in Florida's Hialeah

 | Gardens, is responding to customer repair, modification and overhaul

 | requirements quickly and more economically with a new Accustick epoxy

 | syntactic from Ciba Aerospace Products. American Composites has

 | found that Ciba's Accustick epoxy syntactic helps simplify repairs

 | and reduce production time. For applications, technicians cut the

 | desired amount of dough-like resin and hardener. The material is

 | then kneaded briefly until it attains a uniform color and is

 | installed in the seam between pieces of honeycomb.

Now - what are "composite parts?" Where are the pieces of honeycomb on an
airplane?
