Mike Ruskai wrote in a message to Geert Bosch: MR> BTW, SysFileDelete would be a standard REXX counterpart to MR> ERASE. SysFileDelete is an external function from RexxUtil, which is non-standard. Of course it's standard for OS/2, but so is 'ERASE' and now I don't require the RexxUtil library to be present and/or loaded. Replacing 'ERASE' with 'RM' on Unix systems will be easier than figuring out what those RxFuncAdd and SysFileDelete functions do. MR> And FYI, my goal is not to make a faster decoder, but a MR> smarter one that can handle more situations. Yes, that would be nice! Could you send me a copy when you're ready? If you want to keep it fast, remember that standard Rexx functions are orders of magnitude faster than those written in Rexx. So, using some ugly, inefficient representation with efficient Rexx functions will nearly allways be faster than writing an 'elegant' Rexx counterpart.
