Scott Erickson struck out Leyritz to start the third, but the umpire didn't
call strike three (even though he called Cal out on an inside pitch to end
the second), so Leyritz homered to the opposite field on the next pitch.
With one out and one on, Boggs hit a dribbler that Erickson failed to pick
up. One extra out. Williams hit a routine double play ball to Alomar, who
let it go right through his legs. Two more extra outs. As usual, defense
lets Erickson down early on routine grounders. Just like game one. Boggs
was thrown out at home. Fielder was fed a gopher ball. 5-0. More two-out
runs. Strawberry homered. 6-0. Again, we allow four two-out runs to the
Yankees.
How can anyone expect the crowd to be enthusiastic at Camden Yards, when the
team plays such shitty ball here??
