Not to belabor the point, but in the MAX301N.* archive:

FILE_ID.DIZ:

So again, according to the author's own documentation, it's "officially" the
"Maximus Win32" version.  I will give you this however, if you look into the
MAXN.EXE file, it does say "this is a Windows NT character-mode executable".
(And I do agree that it works better under NT than Win95.. but I don't want
to mislead anyone on to the "official name" of the version, according to the
documentation.)
