Yes, I reinstalled flash 7.0r14 from within the \plugins directory.

And, my "profile" and "plugins" are together and
seperate from moz. As in:

Kris, you may be on to something.  Because, using this my "mozprofile"
and exchanging Moz 17GA and Moz 17.6GA makes no difference.
Changing Flash 7.0 r14 to Flash 5.0r67 makes no difference.
Changing Java 142.05 to Java131 makes no difference.
No difference means that fishing flash does not work.

Yet NS461 with java 131 and flash 5.0 does play it.

On the failing url:

If I look at "page info" I see all the info of the url...type, render mode,
source, encoding ...etc.   And on the page info>Media tab, I see the 
address of the embedded SWF flash...which never starts, hence the 
"blank black moz window".

I have no idea how the url gets to start the embedded SWF.  When I click on 
reload current tab, I get net action back to "cbs.com" but nothing else
starts or runs and it quickly just says "done".

Any other diagnostic Ideas??
