Never had that, just MSword and MSmoney.

Well I could easily do without the newsgroup reader
selecting instead "Free Agent" which is sleeker and slicker
but would have to retain the mail app. unless I bought
Free Agent to get the full mail package.
I like Composer however as not being well versed in HTML
I can't just use an text editor.

They are easy to find and everything is logically broken down
into subdirectories starting with O.S. than the general
nature of the programs to be found in subdirectories.
SimTel carries just about every utility, diagnostic,
Freeware and Shareware program you could imagine including that
monitor diagnostic that currently eludes me.

RJT> I just wondered if you happened to recall the name of the package.

Well I've not got it here :-(
Next time I slave that damaged drive I'll have a look, if I
swapped the low profile case for my original one I could just
leave that drive in instead of sitting it on the power supply
 of the open case.

RJT> Did that even come with X?

Yes it supports X-Windows however never got past configuring that
Headlands Tech. video card, as I still have the disk likely
no problem on this motherboard and video card but just
now I've only 130 Meg. free on a small drive so...

WC> Yes that sounds like a really nice feature.

 RJT> Feature? It ain't a featue, it's stuff I *did*. :-)

Oh I caught that, it's merely a feature _you_ added and you've my
respect for being proficient in that O.S. as it is somewhat
challanging.

Oh I've pretty much the same software as well however no longer
all the .ini files, .DLL's and registry entries from programs I've
previously deleted bloating things up, the registry is less than
half it's former size as well.

I was being a bit cynical and sarcastic, antivirus companies DO
offer solutions and freeware utilities to the worm in question
only they no longer support solutions for Win 3.1.
NT, 2000, 90 and 95 all have freeware removal tools available.
Looks like Verizon finally caught hold as no malicious attachments
in the last few days :-)

Sol Mirco_something or other_ offered an early high powered video
solution called the Dazzler which supported a program called "Life"
if that's what you're talking about.
