So you haven't seen Windows XP on such a machine. It should have
different settings (preferably different installable modules) for different
groups of users. I do believe that someone might like the infantile dog
animation while looking for a file, but I haven't met anyone who admitted.
If I wanna see 'toons, I watch television.
My bigboss gets a message like "One program tried to access your
address book. Do you accept?" every day, since an MS Office service
pack was installed. He said, instead of the dog, they should display
_which_ program tried to access his address book. It surprised me that we
agreed in something. :)
Altho there's not much difference in speed between W95 and W98 kernels,
the shell (Windows Explorer) got terribly slow in the latter (and much less
practical for me, anyway) and eats a lot more memory leaving less for
useful applications.
