Are you using asyncronious or Fossil access to port? Serial or parallel?

Can't tell you anything about this 'cause I'm not familiar with this setup. 
I'm running Binkley 2.50 EE E3 + Maximus 3.0 (all for OS/2) and it works. 
Also I have external fax receive with Frec/2, which also works.

There are no any additional devices on my phone line. The phone is plugged in 
into the PHONE jack of Elite...

Yes, I've also been able to record messages, but it is very flaky: 3 out of 5 
attempts result in Zfax error: "Modem does not respond".
