PJ> Can anyone suggest anywhere a guy can get some sort of assistance PJ> ($$) when starting a small business ?? Are there organisations that PJ> can help. I have looked at the NEISS scheme but because I'm not on PJ> the dole I don't qualify ?? I'm a student who has just started my PJ> own business .... PJ> God the government makes it HARD !!!!! RS> Maybe you would care to explain why the government should be handing RS> you money for you to start a small business ? PJ> Obviously you dont work for yourself ?? What you think is obvious to you Phil, and reality, may well have a massive great chasm between them. You might care to consider that its actually much more likely to be someone who does work for themselves and had done that without a government handout, who is more likely to think its quite mad for the government to be handing people cash to start a small business. PJ> If you had anything constructive to say I would be only to pleased PJ> to converse with you My constructive comment was that I and the bulk of the Aust taxpayers do not consider that its the role of government to be handing out cash to people like you to use to start a small business. You can do that in exactly the same way all the other small businesses have had to do it, earn some money in any way that you find appealing and use THAT. And that someone who cant manage to do that is about the LAST person the government should be handing out cash to to start a small business, coz if they cant even do that themselves, they arent likely to be able to do much useful in a small business anyway. PJ> but as you havent and could only offer an uninformed comment You have absolutely NO idea whether its informed on not Phil. You are just using some completely silly bogus debating technique stuff in the process of throwing a tantrum. Let me spell it out for you very clearly. The government, and indirectly the tax payer, has decided that it makes some sense to provide some assistance to the long term unemployed to start a small business. Thats what the NEISS scheme is. You dont qualify. So the short story is that if you arent long term unemployed and arent black, you dont get a handout. They dont think it makes any sense to be handing out money to people like YOU to start a small business. I happen to agree with them. The government and indirectly the taxpayer has already considerably subsidised your education. Tho you do have to pay substantial fees for the tertiary stuff now, thats only part of the total cost of what you got. THATs currently all the handout that its considered reasonable to give you. AND I happen to agree with the principles too. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/809 934 @PATH: 711/934 |
