| subject: | And where have you been ? |
Hello again, August. AA> But now I suddenly have new expenses. Last night shortly after 10pm my AA> water pump blew a seal. There were "warnings" about that early on, and I AA> had already made plans to replace it, but the major event was sudden. AA> It's at least $340 for a new pump. Is it beyond an engineer to repair such a pump ? :-) I have repaired one of these if it is a "jet-pump" that you have. These seal are commercially common and easy to replace. Is it the up seal or the bottom one, or a side gasket ? AA> These are hdds that I would just plop inside and be good to go? Might be AA> prudent to have those. When I get back home, I will forward it to you. It is a 40 G HD but same size as the HD in the 1300. I will also include the required SW to make that clone. If I remember well, you only have one of these two TP that has a CD device. You could clone the CD one and then exchange the HD with the other one.
