FT> I read "Missing Joseph" and hated it! But she is a very popular
 dr>
dr> Haven't read that one yet. Why did you hate it? Want to know
dr> because I was thinking of checking a couple more of her books from
dr> the library and that was one on my list.
Just too British for me. I have heard from her fans that Missing Joseph
is not one of her best.
dr> I just started Ken Follett's "The Third Twin." I hear it's very
dr> good. I always liked his suspense books. My favorite was "Eye of
dr> the Needle." He's not a mystery writer per se, but I suppose
dr> suspense novels are kind of lumped into the mystery category. Most
dr> mysteries are full of suspense, and vice versa.
I watched the first half of that on tv last week, then didn't watch the
second half becuase it was on at the same time as ER AND Mystery! Then I
heard the next day they had switched it to earlier in the evening so it
wouldn't conflict with ER...too bad I didn't know about it! The first
half was good!
dr> Thank you. It's been a long struggle, but beginning to pay off, at
dr> last. I know this is off topic, but have to share some more good
dr> news. Have been asked to submit some of my writings to a follow
dr> on book to the "Chicken Soup for the Soul for Women." They called
dr> me. Isn't that great? No guarantee they will be accepted, but it's
 dr> flattering to be asked.
Cool. I'm SURE you'll write some great stuff!
dr> Nice talking to you, Suzze. How is Kevin Robinson coming along?
dr> Guess I should send him an e-mail message. I get so caught up in
dr> all the things I'm doing, time passes rather quickly. If I don't
dr> write down stuff to do, I forget.
Last time I talked to him he was great, in his bi-weekly newspaper
columns he talks about being an "ex-mystery writer" so I guess he has
given up on it! He spends most of his free time playing the blues
harmonica with various bands.
