Most of the local diving is done in Summersville Lake, a Corps of
Engineers water project which is very large.  The water is fairly clear
for fresh water due to much of the lake being surrounded by rock which
was cut out to make the large earth filled dam.
The water is cold.....full wetsuit all the time and has some interesting
rock formations under water and a few fish.
The local corps and the WV DNR (Division of Natural Resources) is
working with our dive club to place some autos or boats on the lake
floor for the divers to dive on.
