Here's a free tip for all teams that will play the Orioles in 1997 (something
the Yankees already know) - the surest way to prevent an Orioles rally is to
allow an Oriole runner to reach second or third base. None out, one out, or
two outs - it doesn't matter. The presence of a teammate in scoring position
creates extreme brain cramps in subsequent Oriole hitters in that inning,
causing them to flail at all sorts of terrible pitches, resulting in the
runner(s) being stranded.
