Hi Alan
Been taking this area for about a month now, it mainly appears to
be from the states, where their laws on the use of scanners appear
a lot more liberal than here in the UK. What are your interests,
I've got a book somewhere with frequency lists etc.
I've also got a few frequencies which I warn people not to listen
to as its illegal to listen to them, if they choose to ignore my
advice I dont see how I can be held responsible.
What scanner have you got ?
I'm using a AOR 1500, it covers 500khz upto 1200mhz, I think thats
the upper limit, just looked for the manual and cannot find it,
lies I've just found it the upper limit is 1300mhz, modes covered
are AM, FM narrow, FM wide and Single sideband, I've and outside
aerial but not got it mounted yet so I'm only using the rubber
duck.
As this is an international echo my location is
Beverley
East Yorkshire
England
Beverley is 10 miles from the east coast and about half way up the
country, look for the River Humber, find Hull or Kingston upon Hull
and go north eight miles.
I certainly enjoy reading this echo, and seeing where some of the
messages originated from.
Catch you soon
