Does anyone have ideas on a good IPF editor or a program that will convert a word processor file to the IPF tag language? What I have seen so far is pretty ugly. The company I work for is redesigning their whole mainframe system to client/server and all applications will be OS/2 based. This will require a major rewrite of all their current help systems and creation of help systems they never had before. The "authors" will have little to no OS/2 experience and definitely no programming experience. Idealy, I would like to see a program that will convert a word processor file to the IPF format. I have seen a couple of IPF authoring tools but they show the IPF tags and this is too confusing to the "authors". They also do not allow you to really get an idea of what it will look like. (IPF Editor, IPF Builder, Bookmaker?) One program I saw that comes close to converting WordPerfect files is WP2IPF2, however, it does not provide the footnote links we need. I have seen some really neat Windows help authoring tools, but, that doesn't help much. Does anybody know if Describe or anybody else can export IPF files? That would really be great! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
