I'm *very glad* you've brought up this comparison. Windows is an 
operating system. BugHunter is an antimalware tool. You can run an OS 
that isn't updated anymore. You really shouldn't use an antimalware tool 
that hasn't been updated in years. It won't detect any of the new stuff. 
It would be like installing an antivirus and never letting it get 
updates. No point in using it without the updates.

One depends on constant updates to keep it aware of malware and 
obviously, the other doesn't. As BugHunter was only designed to hunt and 
kill malware, it's super important that it be able to detect them. That 
requires updates which are no longer provided so there's no reason to 
continue using the program today.

I can still use windows XP just fine. for now. Until software that I do 
use no longer supports it and forces me to dump it.
