I suspect it only works RK> with FAT formatted volumes though, since the HPFS I have rubbed shoulders with the developers of this product -- it's hard not to absorb some of their enthusiasm. The CEO has a good track record in the past with dos defrag type products (I can't remember the name of it right now, but you'd probably recognize it). Partition magic WILL resize (shrink or grow) HPFS partitions. You can pull the plug out of the wall on the middle of the conversion and not loose more than one file. It will also convert from FAT to HPFS "in place" (NTFS to follow). One of the hooks they use goes something like "When you install OS/2,just let it create one huge [hpfs] partition -- then repartition your disk (to install BootMgr, for example) later." The product will run under DOS or OS/2 (character mode) or PM. Ie: You can convert from FAT to HPFS by booting DOS if you like. --- Maximus/2 2.01* Origin: Sol 3/Toronto (905)858-8488 (1:259/414) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 515 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 259/414 400 99 250/99 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 808 809 934 |
