Those errors look familiar...

They don't make 14400 internal modems for the Amiga. :)

I borrowed a friend's 14400 a couple of weeks ago, but it couldn't
run at full speed, since my mail computer has no hard drive.

My main Amiga can't do serial IO because it got zapped by lightning.
