You can get such a beastie from America specifically for the 686,

for around the $US40 (Obscene in Aust Dollars).

I do have details and a web site address some where.

(search for "Computer Nerds")

A cheaper ($AU7) and quieter solution is to do what I have done.

Basically, I went down to "Rip out Dicks" (Smiths) and bought the

biggest heatsink that they had. Put them on both my machines.

About 3" x 4" flat one shaped a bit like the Sydney Opera House.

This one just sits on top of my already overclocked CPU (and I mean

sits....It has sat there for 6months and is not yet attached securely)

And it does the job just great. NO SOUND AT ALL & no ill effects

(Bad Behavour) from the CPU. or motherboard.

Mind you, it would be much more efficient if it was firmly mounted

and had Silicon heatsink compound sandwiched in between to tranfer

the heat better.

BTW, I do not run a fan in my power supply either and my hard drives

are insulated against sound. So basically my 2 machines run as quietly

(all year round) as if they were not turned on.

Can you hear a pin drop at 3am with two computers an arms length away,

doing what computers do in the night.
