I forgot to mention it is necessary to turn off word allignment for records 
in case your record's size is not an exact multiple of four bytes. This 
should save you about an hour of confusion :-(.
So turn it of in your linker settings or enclose your record type definition 
within a {$A-} and {$A+} pair.
