 SH> as you
SH> and i seem to have our heads on when it comes to this pc based share
SH> tracking it might be an idea at some stage to think about setting up
SH> an investment Special Interest Group (SIG). would be quite a bit of
SH> work, but maybe worth it top help others tentatively setting out on
SH> this road that we've been travelling and nobody else seems to have

 SH> me.

Actually this is a recurring situation. The last time was about 12
months ago when the participants at the time ran into local FidoGod
trouble and decided to push off into their own net. We had nodes in
Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, New Zealand, and California. I begged them
to keep it in FidoNet and just start new echos, but the local problems
required an OtherNet. MIDASnet was born. After 6 months the usual
problems of attracting new echo participants occurred and the net was
 shelved.

My involvement was in establishing a File Distribution Network for
 MIDASnet (I'm still amassing files).

The point of all this is - don't despair, we are here but many of us
run our own businesses and therefore our participation is sporadic. I
 lurke and read your mail.

SH> bye the way do you listen to 2gb from 7-8pm mon -fri david koch
SH> has quite a good small business type show and give sthe asx level at
SH> about 7;35 - 7:50 each night, which either fills me fills me with hope
 SH> or despair.

It's not a bad show - although he tend to wonder between big and small
business focus and the focus on "Anything to do with your hip pocket"
 is a bit of a catch-all. Still I listen when I can.

I wish he'd try to organise some petitions or something to let canberra
know about some of the stupid things he and we complain about - like
 the ludicrous interpretations on FBT
