Don,

Never mind! :^) Your 22801 board is obviously quite different from either
of mine. The
message I see is "Press CTRL-C to...." if the Symbios/LSI cardis
alone in the machine. I do
get a CTRL-A message *first* if I have an old Adaptec card (2920, IIRC)
installed for my
scanner, but then I see the the Symbios/LSI CTRL-C message. Pressing either
CTRL-A or CTRL-C
at the approrpiate time works, it's the Symbios/LSI setup options that
don't work. I can, for
example, format drives as you can, but I can't select which device to boot
from which used to
work before Award FUBARed the BBS code.

Including selecting the boot device?

And you never see the Symbios message to enter it's configuration?
It does stand to reason that if one puts a NIC on a SCSI HBA card, things
may get a bit wierd.
Why in the world would you use such an animlal? I think I'd use it for a
space age wall
ornament.

Steve
