I wonder why you guys are making such a plead for the ASUS device. D-Link for instance has the same kind of device, the DWL-G730AP http://www.dlink.be/?go=jN7uAYLx/oIJaWVUDLYZU93ygJVYKOhST9vhLPG3yV3oUoF9gKltbNlwaaRp6TssAmu5j3cf/YEIAN732qfiKUoUteLZ> (wireless router/AP/client) which at least doesn't need to be setup in Windy, doesn't need special software at all as it's "website" can be accessed directly by any webbrowser (IP address 192.168.0.30). Meaning this D-Link can be a wireless substitute for a wireless PCMCIA network card. In the light of this the ASUS can't be recommended, and sorry to say, the article at VOICE is misleading in that respect. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend none of these devices, as they haven't a build-in DHCP server. For a few pennies more there is for instance the D-Link DWL-2000AP+, which has all the qualities of the DWL-G730AP http://www.dlink.be/?go=jN7uAYLx/oIJaWVUDLYZU93ygJVYKOhST9vhLPG3yV3oUoF9gKltbNlwaaRp6TssAmu5j3cf/YEIAN732qfiKUoUteLZ> , which IS operating system independent, and of which the setup can be done by simple human beings too (can't be powered trough an USB port though). And again, sorry, the article in VOICE is very disappointing. How on Earth can a device needing Windy be "strongly recommended" whereas there are the same kind of devices available needing no Windy at all? I thought we were in the business of os2-user-support, but it looks like I do have it wrong. -- Groeten uit Gent, Kris Yahoo!
