| subject: | OS/2-DOS sleep call(s) |
PF> Timer on PF> on timer gosub (doit) PF> input foo$ ' wait for a key. PF> end PF> :doit Thanks for the help, that is what I originally tried...But, turns out that I have a basic compiler that does the input the way it should, and one that does some wierd stuff also. The problem is that most BASIC's do not process the timer while waiting for an Input function. Sigh. Ok, I have heard of the Int2f, and have used it so far, but, under DOS, there is a way to specify how many "ticks" that int gets, and under OS/2 you have a sleep(x) type call. Any ideas on how to access these functions? Seems a lot more efficient to say do sleep(30) (misc funcs) loop Than to bother with anything else...
